Too late

“Alan. Sweet. We are leaving,” the voice on a woman said, behind the closed door, but there was no answer. Her words faded in the darkness of the house as she and her husband left.

Alan just sighed as the sound of the closing door reached his room. It had passed two weeks already since he missed the main event of the season: The Halloween party; and he was still feeling down. “Why did that have to happen to me?” He kept going around in his head, remembering how he ended sick in bed that night after trying some stupid internet challenge.

He kept sighing in the darkness of his room, listening to the songs in his play list. It was then that “Let it go” began to sound. He sighed deeply, stood up, and turned the light of his room on.

“Well, it’ll be a waste if I don’t try the bodysuit I bought for the occasion; B-suits products are quite expensive, after all,” he thought as he opened his closet door. Before him lay the suit he was planning to use: a lovely product that would let him be the “real” Queen Anna of the party. He sighed again, before taking out the suit bag with the huge Disney log printed on it. Once out, he leaved it on his bed, unzipped it and took out the body suit.

He felt down for a second, but, after another sigh, he took out the earphones and let the music sound from the speaker of the phone. He took up the mask and put it on. It felt weird, but he knew the mask work perfectly even before opening his eyes.

“It’s time to see…” He began to sing, enjoying his new voice. Although, he couldn't bare it and burst of laughter. It was Elza’s song, after all.

Feeling a little better, he opened his eyes, just to face Anna’s head attached to his masculine body. Alan laughed again remembering Shaggy in Scooby Doo 2, as he hurried into the suit.

“I love this feeling,” she said as she caressed her soft skin and silky hair at the rhythm of “Into the Unknown”. Anna breathed deeply and began to dress with the clothes of the movie. She felt relieved that her hair was already done, since she knew nothing about styling hair; and it was the same for the make up.

Anna felt so happy spinning and fluttering her dress at the sound of “For the First Time in Forever”, that she burst of laughter when “We Don’t Talk About Bruno” began.

It felt so good, but, deep in side, Alan knew it was too late… but also to early to give up on his whish to enjoy a night as a “princes”. Halloween was over this year, but there would be a next and another after that. And with that set of mind, Anna saved her dress and sneakily went to Alan’s mother closet, where she borrowed a night gown. Once in a more appropriate outfit, she prepared some popcorn to enjoy a little night marathon of her favorite Disney movies.
